Virtual Classroom Orientation
The COVID-19 outbreak necessitated a move away from in-person education sessions to minimize risk to everyone.
This virtual orientation was compiled while retaining key elements of the VCH Orientation program: Introduce you to the OneVCH Culture and values, inform and support you as you begin your onboarding.
3 KEY THINGS
The most important information I need to know about COVID-19.
Practice Infection Prevention & Control
Wash your hands, cover your mouth/nose when coughing/sneezing, and practice physical distancing: stay 2 metres from others, stay home as much as possible, socialize online (not in person), and limit trips to buy supplies. The Infection Prevention and Control website has much more information on reducing the spread of infections.
Know the Symptoms
Reported signs and symptoms include: fever, coughing, and/or difficulty breathing. If you think you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 you can fill out this quick online self-assessment tool.
Seek Reliable Sources of Information on COVID-19
Access reliable up-to-date information on COVID-19 at these sources: Information of Coronavirus Disease page on vch.ca and BC Centre for Disease Control.
